“Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”
Missions plays an important role at Southside Baptist Church. Several families have gone out from Southside to serve the Lord around the World. Dozens of others are supported financially by the church. It is our privilege to labor together with these faithful servants of the Lord.
We believe that God has given the church a Great Commission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations. We believe that there will be a great multitude from every nation, tribe, ethnic group, and language group who will believe on the Lord Jesus Christ by God’s sovereign grace, and through our missionary efforts. As ambassadors of Christ, we must pursue all available means to go to the lost both at home and to the foreign nations and not wait for them to come to us (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:46-48; John 20:21; Acts 1:8; II Corinthians 5:20).
Southside Baptist Church supports foreign and domestic missionaries who are taking the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world.
